So this place is their basis of how much the average or usual price of your shop offers. This is the transition of the world from the outside to the world towards your shop. So it is important to make it as attractive as possible.
2. UNCONSCIOUSLY TURNING TO THE RIGHT
If you observe, 90% of your customers would probably turn right after they enter the decompression zone. So it is important to place some stunning products on this area. This part is called the power wall. So it should be a remarkable place to get the interest of the consumers. It is also important to keep in mind that this spot should give a good first impression for the customers.
3. WHERE THE EYES GO, THE FEET WILL FOLLOW
As there is an unspoken rule that gives customers the urge to go to the right after checking out the decompression area, there should also a clear path as they walk and check the products around the store. So it is best to have a nice carpet to give them the comfort as they roam around the four corners of your store. This is an advantageous opportunity for you to expose all your products for your customers. A good strategy for them to go until the end of the aisle would be placing a wonderful display at the end. This would assure you that they are going to explore the entire store as they wander around.

So in order for you to make them walk slowly, it would be nice to put some attractive and eye-catching signage or sales in the middle to slow them down as they reach the end of the aisle. Who would not want to stop in some merchandise with 50% discount, right? They would surely be lured in the middle.
There are some instances that your customers are not alone. They might be accompanied by their other half, or maybe their friends, and or kids. So it is good to give them their comfortable space by placing some furniture where they can rest as their friend shopper hovers around the store. Shoppers can enjoy wandering around and exploring the merchandise as their company takes their time as they get the opportunity of comfort inside your store.
